Pilot is saddened by the loss of one of the great lettering artists, Doyald Young. We had the pleasure of working with him on numerous projects over the years, and he was always the consummate gentleman, and an exceptional talent. His work was perfectly executed and flawlessly rendered. He was truly one of the greatest talents of our time, and we regret that we won't have another opportunity to work with him. His books are staples around our office, pieces regularly referred to as the best examples of hand lettering.
